Winter Vol. X
Winter Vol. X settles into the quiet continuity of the season.
The album moves through grounded landscapes and reflective stillness, where sound unfolds slowly and without insistence. Textures remain restrained, shaped by clarity, patience, and space. Motion is subtle — like water beneath ice, or light resting on bare trees — present without drawing attention to itself.
At this point in the Winter series, the season is no longer marked by arrival or transition. It is simply lived. Winter Vol. X reflects that steadiness, offering a listening experience rooted in presence, calm, and duration.
This Studio Edition was prepared and released directly from The Sanctuary, Michael’s Vermont studio. It presents the final studio master of the work, shared exactly as it was completed.

Artwork
The cover for Winter Vol. X depicts a quiet river moving through a snow-covered forest at first light. The scene is still and balanced, with no visible motion beyond the slow flow of water beneath ice. Sky and landscape meet gently, suggesting a moment where night and morning briefly coexist.
Above the horizon, a ten-pointed constellation appears against the stars. As the tenth volume in the Winter series, the constellation marks a point of completion without finality — ten as a number of wholeness, presence, and grounded continuity.
The river below mirrors this idea. It continues forward, calm and uninterrupted, carrying winter not as an event or a passage, but as an environment fully inhabited.
